\Where there are large men pummeling each other for fun and profit, there are those happy to gamble on the outcome. Tonight’s WBC title fight between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder is no different, as various bookies have unleashed a swarm of prop bets for would-be prophets to make would-be profits.

For convenience’s sake, this article will use lines from Canada’s Sports Interaction, as their arrangement proved the easiest to format. For those unfamiliar with American-style odds, a positive value represents the profit of betting $100, while a negative value represents how much you’d need to bet to make a $100 profit. Ergo, betting $100 on a +200 fighter gets you your money back plus $200 and betting $200 on a -200 fighter gets you your money back plus $100.

I’ll admit, I’m surprised to see Fury as only a three-to-one favorite; he’s 2-0 on my scorecard against Wilder and successfully withstood the latter’s best punch. I get that Wilder can turn the lights out at any moment, but Fury’s proven able to deal with that.

If I had to make a recommendation, I’d say either Fury straight-up or Fury by stoppage, as I can’t see him going back to the conservative style that won rounds but got him clipped in their first meeting. Just don’t bet on a specific round or group of rounds; Malik Scott and Jay Deas are happy to let Wilder get beaten to death without throwing in the towel, while Russell Mora has his own history of neglecting fighter safety. Who knows how long Fury will have to kick his ass to finally get the stoppage.
