Andrade, 32, has been out of action for over a full year now, last stopping Luke Keeler in nine rounds in a January 2020 outing. By the time this fight takes place, Andrade will be nearing a year-and-a-half layoff, so it’ll be interesting to see what kind of form he’s in. It’s been no secret that Andrade has had one helluva time trying to land a marquee fight, even since signing with Matchroom, and Hearn has still yet to really deliver on that front. This fight will at least get him back in the ring.
Meanwhile Williams, 28, last fought in October, knocking out Andrew Robinson in one round for a British title. Williams doesn’t appear to really be on the talent level of Andrade here, but he’ll get his shot at a major world title soon enough.
