It’s recently been confirmed that Floyd Mayweather’s announced exhibition fight against YouTube star Logan Paul has been postponed. But if you were hopeful that means the event is off altogether, think again, because Floyd has several exhibition fights of this caliber he wants to get in this year.
Taking to social media, Mayweather says he still plans to face Logan Paul, then wants to face his brother Jake Paul if he manages to get past Ben Askren. And to top it all off, Floyd says he’s willing to lace them up against his #1 frenemy 50 Cent before the year is out.
“This year I will focus on several exhibitions,” Mayweather wrote in a caption. “I will have an exhibition in Tokyo, Japan again. Of course the one with Logan Paul and I; and if Jake Paul can get past his next opponent Ben Askren, I will have an exhibition with him as well.
“I also heard that 50 Cent would fight me but claims I’m too small. If he wants to lace up at the end of the year, we can do an exhibition then. I don’t care about weight class with any of these guys. The Paul brothers will make great money with the events, but with 50 Cent It has to be ‘Winner Take All’.”
What’s ‘winner take all’ in an exhibition fight, you might ask? Who knows. Nobody knows, really. That’s because it’s all just some promotional drivel to make things sound bigger and badder than they really are. But cheers to Floyd if he pulls this off, it would be the most active he’s been since 2005.
