Before the big guns take care of business on Matchroom’s March 13th Juan Francisco Estrada vs Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez 2 DAZN tripleheader, the young guns will set the stage. According to the press release, Raymond Ford, Austin “Ammo” Williams, and Otha Jones III will “all take a big step-up” on the undercard.

Ford (8-0, 4 KO), a 21-year-old featherweight out of Camden, NJ, is coming off a nice seventh-round knockout of Juan Antonio Lopez last December. He meets another unbeaten youngster in 23-year-old Aaron “Angel Baby” Perez (10-0, 6 KO), who’s yet to graduate past fighting opponents with losing records.

Houston’s Williams (7-0, 6 KO) ran over Isiah Jones in 89 seconds on that same Canelo-Smith card and gets what looks to be a decent test in middleweight Aaron Coley (16-3-1, 7 KO), who’s gone to three consecutive split decisions.

Jones (5-0-1, 2 KO), meanwhile, is in need of an impressive performance after drawing with Kevin Montiel Mendoza last October. He fights fellow super featherweight Jorge David Castaneda (13-1, 11 KO) in “OJ3’s” first scheduled eight-rounder.

“This is a big night for Ray, Ammo and OJ3,” said promoter Eddie Hearn. “All eyes are on Dallas with our mouth-watering World title triple-header, but these boys will be out to steal the show. All three of them are top talents, and now they are moving into the next phase of their careers, taking on tougher tests and stepping up to eight rounders and beyond. The pressure is on to shine, and I am sure they are going to rise to the occasion.”

The main card will see Hiroto Kyoguchi defend his WBA light flyweight title against Axel Aragon Vega, Jessica McCaskill look to repeat her shocking upset of Cecilia Braekhus, and Juan Francisco Estrada fight rival “Roman” Gonzalez in a long-awaited rematch.
