As just announced by Ring City USA, the series has bolstered it’s upcoming April 22nd card, headlined by Jermaine Franklin vs Stephan Shaw, with two more fights. Now co-featuring in the night’s main event will be a women’s featherweight world title fight between Jelena Mrdjenovich (41-10-2, 19 KOs) and Erika Cruz Hernandez (12-1-0, 3 KOs), scheduled for 10 rounds.
In addition we’ll also have junior welterweight prospects Juan Pablo Romero (13-0, 9 KOs) taking on Jonathan Navarro (17-0, 9 KOs) in another 10-rounder. Romero, 31, most recently had his four-fight knockout streak snapped in his last outing where he won a unanimous decision over Sergio Torres last November. Navarro, 24, hasn’t fought since October 2019, last knocking out Lebin Morales.
As for the women’s co-feature, Mrdjenovich, 38, most recently fought this past December, taking a decision win Iranda Paola Torres. Hernandez, 30, has never fought outside of Mexico and will be getting her first taste of action on U.S. soil.
The Ring City USA cards have been on fire lately, so you might not want to sleep on this one. All the action kicks off at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, NY, airing live on NBC Sports Network at 9 p.m. ET.
