Jaron Ennis says now’s his time to make a statement, looking foward to facing Sergey Lipinets

Ennis takes media questions leading into this weekend’s Showtime main event.

During today’s final press conference for Saturday’s Showtime main event between Jaron Ennis and Sergey Lipinets, Ennis appeared to answer media questions leading into the bout. You can catch the card’s full press conference above thanks to Fight Hub TV, with some quotes from Ennis below.

Jaron Ennis on what a win over Sergey Lipinets does for his career

“Well after I do my thing on Saturday night and I do it in a big statement, high fashion, it’s only up. It’s only on to the next bigger and better things, the elite fighters, the top three guys and then maybe a world title at the end of the year.”

On if he values getting a stoppage over getting some rounds in after a layoff

“Well everybody know my slogan ‘I’m in and out like a robbery’ but the main goal is to just be smart, win and do it in dominating fashion, and then if the knockout come, it comes. But that’s definitely the goal: look good, put on a beautiful performance, and get the knockout at the end of the night.”

On if he feels like he’s been an avoided fighter

“I been trying to get these type of guys in the ring for about two and a half years. I been trying to get top guys, former world champions, top 10 guys, and it just didn’t happen. Now I finally got my chance and now ya’ll about to see a whole different animal, a whole different beast and it’s time for me to do my thing. I’m real excited.”
