Canelo vs Saunders: How to watch the fight, weigh-in, press conference, and more

Not much volume on the schedule, but it’s a big fight week.

Thursday, May 6

DAZN, 1:00 pm ET, Canelo vs Saunders press conference. Talking, sponsors nobody cares about, etc. We’ll be here with a stream. BLH will have live coverage.

Friday, May 7

ESPN+, 11:00 am ET, Magomed Kurbanov vs Liam Smith. Don’t sleep on this fight, this is a really good matchup between a rising potential contender and a solid, proven veteran and former world titlist. Kurbanov has home field in Russia, but Smith’s a good step up for him. Nice fight. BLH will have live coverage.

DAZN, 3:00 pm ET, Canelo vs Saunders weigh-in. Underpants, scales, the usual. We’ll be here with a stream. BLH will have live coverage.

Telemundo, 11:35 pm ET, Gadwin Rosa vs George Acosta.

Saturday, May 8

YouTube/Other Social Media, 5:25 pm ET, Canelo vs Saunders prelims. Marc Castro and Keyshawn Davis notably in action among the four-fight prelim card, which will stream live and free. We’ll be here for coverage and have a live stream for you so you don’t have to go find one. BLH will have a stream and live coverage.

DAZN, 8:00 pm ET, Canelo Alvarez vs Billy Joe Saunders. Three 168 lb belts on the line here, Canelo’s WBC and WBA, Saunders’ WBO. The main event is a big one simply because it has Canelo, but Saunders is not a creampuff opponent, he’s not some rando mando, he’s a legitimate fighter. The card also has Elwin Soto defending his 108 lb title against Katsunari Takayama, Kieron Conway vs Souleymane Cissokho at 154, and a heavyweight bout between Frank Sanchez and, for some reason, Nagy Aguilera. BLH will have live coverage.
