Danny Garcia predicts Canelo Alvarez will have a tough time against Billy Joe Saunders

Garcia calls Saunders a thoroughbred boxer who he believes can give Canelo fits.

During this video interview with Fight Hype, former world champion Danny Garcia gives his take on this weekend’s super middleweight title unification between Canelo Alvarez and Billy Joe Saunders.

Garcia says that unlike many who may think Canelo is just going to have an easy time dealing with Saunders, he expects Saunders to give Canelo a tough time with his boxing ability.

How to Watch Canelo vs Saunders

Date: Saturday, May 8 | Start Time: 8:00 pm ET
Location: AT&T Stadium - Arlington, TX
Streaming: DAZN

“That’s a tough fight,” Garcia said. “A lot of people saying Canelo gonna walk through (Saunders) but I think that’s gonna be a hard fight. Canelo always struggles with people who can box, and that dude is a thoroughbred boxer, on his toes all night. Can’t punch, but has great boxing skills, great angles and he can give him hell if he’s in great shape. That’s a good fight, that’s a good fight. That’s a real good fight.”

Canelo and Saunders will square off this Saturday night in Arlington, Texas, streaming live on DAZN beginning at 8pm ET.
