It’s been a week full of Canelo vs Billy Joe Saunders coverage. If you think there’s been too much attention paid to the super middleweight unification? Well, Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul seem to agree with you.
Mayweather (50-0, 27 KOs), one of the most skilled boxers of all time, and Logan Paul (0-1, 0 KOs), a former Dunkin Donuts pitchman, faced off today at a event in Florida to promote their June 6th exhibition fight.
Among the highlights:
Floyd Mayweather told Paul, “I know what you did to the country of Japan. You have to pay for what you did to Japan.”
Logan Paul responded: “I know what you did to your wife.”
Later, Logan’s brother, Jake Paul (3-0, 3 KOs), the more successful boxer in the family by virtue of having an actual victory in a sanctioned professional bout, snatched Mayweather’s hat. And, brilliantly, turned to escape with it, but ran directly into a wall of media. Mayweather, presumably very protective of his new head of hair, reacted poorly.

After some more pushy-shovey and name calling, Jake Paul and Mayweather were separated to their dressing rooms. Along the way, Mayweather repeatedly said “I’ll kill that m*****f*****!”
Fortunately, the enraged and unhinged Mayweather was somehow unable to harness his lifetime of professional boxing training and throw an actual punch. Who knows what might have happened if the gentle, bent-elbow resistance of security hadn’t been enough to keep him restrained from the younger Paul brother?
Spotlight successfully stolen, I suppose. And now... IT’S PERSONAL. See you all June 6th on Showtime PPV!
