Davis vs Barrios weigh-in results and video: Gervonta Davis and Mario Barrios on weight for Showtime PPV

Tomorrow night’s Showtime PPV is fully good to go.

Saturday night’s Showtime pay-per-view is set, with main eventers Gervonta “Tank” Davis and Mario Barrios coming in under the limit for their 140 lb fight.

Davis (24-0, 23 KO) came in at 139¾, with Barrios (26-0, 17 KO) at 139½. The height difference was again obvious and apparent, and that’s something Tank will have to deal with on Saturday, and we’ll see if he can. Both looked in shape and ready to go, with Davis looking like he’s added some lean muscle for his first fight at junior welterweight.

Undercard

  • Erickson Lubin and Jeison Rosario are set for their WBC junior middleweight eliminator, with both coming in at the limit of 154 lbs. Lubin (23-1, 16 KO) and Rosario (20-2-1, 14 KO) really might be lined up for the best fight of the weekend, it’s a genuinely strong co-feature.
  • Carlos Adames (19-1, 15 KO) and Alexis Salazar (23-3, 9 KO) are set for their short-notice 10-round bout, with both weighing in at 157. Adames is really a 154 fighter and Salazar a 160 fighter, so the weights in the middle seems fair, especially given they came in on just a few days’ notice. Adames shoved Salazar a couple times, otherwise it was a very relaxed weigh-in overall.
  • The WBA 140 lb eliminator between Batyr Akhmedov (8-1, 7 KO) and Argenis Mendez (25-6-3, 12 KO) is also set, with both weighing in at 139½.
