British light heavyweight rivals Lyndon Arthur and Anthony Yarde may be setting up a rematch at some point, but first will return in separate bouts on a July 10 Queensberry Promotions card on BT Sport.
Arthur (18-0, 12 KO) edged a decision over Yarde (20-2, 19 KO) last December in a pretty dull fight, one where Yarde’s inability to properly pressure Arthur saw him take the narrow loss on two of the three score cards, a split decision.
Arthur will now face Italy’s Davide Faraci (15-0, 7 KO), while Yarde will take on Germany’s Emin Atra (17-0, 12 KO). Neither Faraci nor Atra bring a ton to these matchups on paper. Faraci has a few decent domestic wins on his record, while Atra has a totally empty record, hasn’t faced a serious opponent at age 31, and hasn’t fought since 2019.
The card will also feature unbeaten super middleweight Zach Parker (20-0, 14 KO) against an opponent to be named, and Archie Sharp (19-0, 9 KO) facing Marcio Soza (21-6-2, 12 KO) in a junior lightweight fight.
