The former IBF lightweight champion last fought in February, outpointing Ryan Martin for his second straight win since going to a split draw with Rances Barthelemy in early 2019. He won the IBF lightweight belt in 2016, beating Richard Commey via controversial decision, and lost that title to Mikey Garcia in 2018.
