Some of you know that I have a boxing website. There is no news on my site, nor pictures, nor articles, nor much of anything else. It's a database of boxers ranked in numerous ways: by weight class, by country, by promoter, by how exciting they are, etc.

Now that my site has been around a bit, the traffic has stabilized. 90% of my traffic is people visiting my weight class ranking pages. And most of that traffic occurs right after a fight ends. So on a big fight weekend, as soon as the main event fighter gets done with his in ring interview I'll have a ton of traffic looking at the ratings in his weight class. It's kind of cool to watch. The really big fights have enormous spikes that last several days. Most decent main events have one day traffic elevations.

So what I've done here is track each weekend of fights with 3 days of page visit volume following the weekend's biggest fight. Mostly, this is Saturday, Sunday and Monday. But for weekends where the big fight was on Friday I'm using Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

I decided to index these weekends making the biggest weekend of the year be 100. Everything else is keyed off that index. So a fight weekend with half as much traffic as that weekend will be a 50. A weekend with 10% as much traffic will be 10.
