Alexander Ustinov has stepped in at the 11th hour to replace Derekc Chisora as Tyson Fury's opponent

One fighter's fractured hand has become his sparring partner's opportunity. Earlier this week, Dereck Chisora announced that he had suffered a fractured hand during training and would not be fighting a rematch against Tyson Fury this Saturday. Today, promoter Frank Warren announced that Alexander Ustinov (29-1, 21 KOs), the fighter whom Chisora (20-4, 13 KOs) injured his hand against while sparring, will replace Chisora as Fury's opponent on Saturday. Chisora's injury and subsequent withdrawal hasn't stopped the barrage of trash talk that Fury has been spewing since the press conference to promote the rematch.

Ustinov's lone loss came via 11th round KO to Kubrat Pulev in September 2012. Ustinov's most notable wins are a unanimous against a washed up David Tua in November 2013, and a unanimous decision against Monte Barrett in December 2009. Standing at 6'7" and weighing 300lbs., Ustinov is significantly taller than Chisora, who is 6'1 1/2". Ustinov is still two inches shorter than Fury, who is 6'9".

Dereck Chisora has pulled out of Saturday's heavyweight fight with Tyson Fury after fracturing his hand while training.

Dereck Chisora and Tyson Fury will not be facing off inside the ring this Saturday as an MRI scan has confirmed that Chisora suffered a fractured his hand during a sparring session last week.

Fury (22-0, 16 KOs) has been doing a lot of trash talking ahead of their rematch, and Chisora's injury and withdrawal hasn't stopped him:

@dellboychisora don't even think of pulling out of this fight bitch!

Fury's tweet references David Haye (26-2, 24 KOs), who twice canceled fights with Fury in 2013, once because of a cut to the head, and the second time following shoulder surgery. Fury instead knocked out American heavyweight Joey Abell on February 15, 2014.

Chisora (20-4, 13 KOs) for his part is disappointed being about to avenge his 2011 loss to Fury.

"I can't tell you how disappointed I am to have to pull out of the fight against Fury."

This is a really tough break for Fury, who's now had three fights called off in the last year and a half due to opponents suffering injuries during training camp.

Billy Joe Saunders and Chris Eubank Jr are set for separate bouts on Saturday's Fury-Chisora II undercard in Manchester.

Tyson Fury and Dereck Chisora meet again on Saturday at Manchester's Phones4U Arena in a rematch of their 2010 fight, with the winner figuring to be in line for a WBO world heavyweight title shot, and also claiming the British and European heavyweight titles.

But there's a lot more on tap for the show, too, with plenty of domestic prospects and rising stars in action. Here's a quick rundown of the action you'll see besides Fury-Chisora on the AWE (US) and BoxNation (UK) broadcast.

12 Rounds - Vacant European Middleweight Title
Billy Joe Saunders vs Emanuele Blandamura

Saunders (19-0, 10 KO) has had his run as British and Commonwealth champion at 160 pounds, and now the 24-year-old southpaw looks to take the next step, approaching "European level" before world title contention. The reality is that the European level is often no actual step up from the British domestic level, and Blandamura (22-0, 5 KO) might not really be any better a fighter than Saunders has already faced in the likes of John Ryder, Gary O'Sullivan, or Jarrod Fletcher. Blandamura beat Marcos Nader via split decision in January.

12 Rounds - vacant British Lightweight Title
Tommy Flanagan vs Martin Gethin

Flanagan (24-0, 8 KO) is the favorite on paper, an unbeaten 25-year-old southpaw, but Gethin (24-5-1, 11 KO) gave the last British champion, Derry Mathews, quite a fight in his last outing, losing a split decision. With Mathews vacating the title, Gethin is getting a second shot, while Flanagan looks to take that next step. This could be the 30-year-old Gethin's last shot at British glory.

12 Rounds - British Junior Middleweight Title
Liam Smith vs Jason Welborn

Smith (16-0-1, 6 KO) will try to make his second successful defense, after winning the vacant title against Erick Ochieng last September, and defending in December against Mark Thompson. Welborn (15-2, 6 KO) has won four straight since a January 2013 loss to Frankie Gavin.

10 Rounds - Middleweights
Chris Eubank Jr vs Ivan Jukic

Eubank (16-0, 11 KO) continues his assault on pretty but empty records, as he faces Croatia's Jukic (19-2, 12 KO) in a fight that is at a pretty familiar level for him already, not any different from fights with Sandor Micsko, Robert Swierzbinski, or Stepan Horvath. Expect some Eubank-Saunders drama.

Other fights

Junior middleweight Ronnie Heffron (15-1, 5 KO) faces Liam Williams (9-0-1, 4 KO) in a 10-round bout ... Junior welterwieght prospects Jack Catterall (8-0, 4 KO) and Nathan Brough (11-0, 2 KO) meet for the vacant Central Area title ... Liam Walsh (15-0, 10 KO) and Kevin Hooper (15-2, 3 KO) square off in a 10-round lightweight fight ... Heavyweight veteran Eddie Chambers (39-4, 21 KO) continues his new UK career beating up grossly overmatched foes, as he'll take on Marcelo Luiz Nascimento (17-6, 15 KO) in an eight round bout ... Bradley Saunders (10-0, 8 KO) will apparently be in action, as will Thomas Stalker (8-0, 2 KO) and the debuting Michael Gomez Jr, among several others.

Tyson Fury and Dereck Chisora meet in a rematch in the United Kingdom, while Gennady Golovkin headlines in New York against Daniel Geale.

Friday, July 25

ESPN2, 9:00 pm EDT, Roberto Garcia vs Breidis Prescott, Caleb Truax vs Derek Ennis, Notre Dame Subway vs Paul Gonsalves. Garcia-Prescott is a decent FNF main event, while Truax-Ennis is a decent FNF co-feature. All of those guys have some talent, most of them thus far proving in their careers that it's probably below the top level. And then there's Mike Lee, who went to Notre Dame and has done commercials for Subway. BLH will have live coverage.

SHO, 10:00 pm EDT, Antoine Douglas vs Michel Soro, Jerry Odom vs Vilier Quinonez, Wanzell Ellison vs Tony Luis, Cecil McCalla vs Oscar Godoy. It's a QUADRUPLE-HEADER on ShoBox: The New Generation! QUADRUPLE! That means FOUR FIGHTS! FOUR! FOUR OF THEM! All feature prospects of varying quality on paper. BLH will have live coverage.

FOX Sports 1, 11:00 pm EDT, Frankie Gomez vs Vernon Paris, Ivan Morales vs Sergio Frias, Terrell Gausha vs Ronnie Warrior Jr. This could be a tricky fight for Gomez, as Paris may have gotten smoked by Zab Judah, but is an awkward, talented fighter when he's at his best, and could present some stylistic problems. Or he might get smashed. Morales and Gausha are legit prospects. BLH will have live coverage.

Saturday, July 26

AWE / BoxNation (UK), 3:30 pm EDT, Dereck Chisora vs Tyson Fury II, Billy Joe Saunders vs Emanuele Blandamura, Terry Flanagan vs Martin Gethin, Liam Smith vs Jason Welborn, Chris Eubank Jr vs Ivan Jukic. Easily the biggest fight this week, as Chisora looks to quiet the unbeaten Fury and get a measure of revenge for his 2010 loss to Fury. The revenge would almost be more on himself for being so out of shape that first time around. Fury has gotten better since then, and so has Chisora, and neither of these guys are particularly shy about mixing it up. This is the sort of fight that bookies should try to bait people into betting on a DQ or no-contest. BLH will have live coverage.

SAT1 (DEU), 4:15 pm EDT, Robert Stieglitz vs Sergey Khomitsky, Robin Krasniqi vs Oleksandr Cherviak, Christina Hammer vs Anne Sophie Mathis, Dominic Boesel vs Daniel Regi. Stieglitz is looking to get his career pointed back in the right direction, but Khomitsky is no pushover, either. He's a very, very tough gatekeeper type who has given Martin Murray a hard night and "upset" Frank Buglioni. The rest of the card is typical German fare with Krasniqi fluffing his record futher, but Hammer-Mathis is a nice matchup, I think.

HBO / Main Event PPV (AUS) / Sport1 (HUN), 9:30 pm EDT, Gennady Golovkin vs Daniel Geale, Bryant Jennings vs Mike Perez. This is about as good a fight as is out there for Golovkin right now, so hey, that's great. There is the feeling that even though Geale's a good fighter, he has the sort of style that will get chewed up by Golovkin. Jennings-Perez is a heavyweight fight to determine a WBC contender, which is, like, the 2nd or 8th mandatory or whatever they're doing. BLH will have live coverage.

TyC Sports (ARG), 10:00 pm EDT, Isidro Ranoni Prieto vs Miguel Angel Cobas.

UniMas, 11:00 pm EDT, Jose Benavidez vs Arman Ovsepyan, Oscar Valdez vs Ranel Suco.

Televisa, 11:00 pm EDT, Rodrigo Guerrero vs Takahiro Shigee, Armando Santos vs Jonathan Refugio, Anabel Ortiz vs Norj Guro.

Azteca (MEX), 11:30 pm EDT, Fernando Montiel vs Jesus Rios.

Dereck Chisora and Tyson Fury share some words from March in BoxNation's Head-to-Head feature for their rematch, which is coming this Saturday.

Fury: "I look over there and I see Dereck Chisora, the same Dereck Chisora who I fought before. Listen, he's had a few more fights, he's beaten some decent, good men, been in with some good men. He's a man with a pair of gloves on. He's trying to come and take the bread out my children's mouth, and I'm here to stop him. I'm, like, the man in his way, and he's the man in my way. At the end of the day, we're gonna go in there and battle it out, and may the best man win. No hard feelings, nothing. I've got respect for Dereck Chisora as a fighter and as a person, because he's done well for himself. But listen, I think I'm on a higher level, I'm an elite fighter, I actually know that. Obviously, we both think we're going to win, or we wouldn't be taking fights, would we? Because we wouldn't be taking fights we thought we're going to lose. I'm 100 percent confident in winning, Dereck's 100 percent confident in winning, and when you got two people like that, it makes for a good fuse. And when you get two fuses together, boom."

Chisora: "(If he believes I'm the same), that'll be amazing for me, but I know he's not stupid. He knows what's coming. He might try and clown around and stuff like that. We know how he acts. When it gets tough in the ring, he likes to clown around to take the focus from the fight. We're coming to look for him, and we're going to look for him, and we're going to find him. We're in a smaller ring. It's a smaller ring. It's not a big ring. We didn't ask for a big ring, we asked for a smaller ring. So we'll find him. He knows. He's seen, he knows."

Fury: "Seek and destroy, you've heard it from the horse's mouth, haven't you? It's up to me to be evasive. Like one of them little fighter jets. He misses shots, counter attack, game over. No matter how many shots you throw, the evasiveness of the jets, boom! It's out. Listen, I'm not here to talk bullshit. I'm here to talk reality. End of the day, this is a fight between two professional fighters who are going to go in there and give it their best shot. Listen, I'm going to win. Why I'm going to win, is because I always win. I know how to win. I've never lost a fight. ... I'm going to win in the fifth round by knockout. It's not gonna be a referee stopped contest, it's not gonna be a TKO, it's gonna be a clean, correct, knuckles down knockout."

Chisora: "He says he's gonna win by knockout, I'll say I'm gonna win by knockout, as well. It's a great fight!"

Fury: "What round are you going to do me in?"

Chisora: "I'll do you in the first round."

Fury: "That'll be nice! It's an easy payday, and go home!"

Dereck Chisora and Tyson Fury promoted their rematch at a heated press conference.

When they first fought on July 23, 2011 Tyson Fury won a fairly one-sided unanimous decision over Dereck Chisora despite being rocked by Chisora in the second round. Fury not only handed Chisora his first defeat, but also took the British Heavyweight title belt.

On July 26th, Fury and Chisora will rematch in Manchester for the vacant British Heavyweight belt. As with the first time they fought, Chisora has a belt on the line- the WBO International Heavyweight title. This time, Fury doesn't care about Chisora's belt:

"His European title and his belts - I'm not interested in them, I'm giving them back after I beat him," Fury said.

"He's the challenger, he's the chump and he's 10 levels below me and I'm going to prove that by smashing his face right in."

During the press conference to promote their rematch, both fighters shook hands on a £10,000 wager. Fury spent the rest of the press conference belittling Chisora:

"For me this is nothing more than a stepping-stone fight.

Fury's coup de grâce:

"Every time he thinks of Tyson Fury in the future he's going to wish he'd never heard that name.

"He's the ugliest man I've ever seen, he can't talk, he's useless, the only thing he's got about him is he's a bit tough and he comes forward and swings some shots."

Tyson Fury has a big fight coming up in July, but he always has time to take a shot at Wladimir Klitschko when asked.

As he promotes his July 26 fight with Dereck Chisora, Tyson Fury was again asked about IBF/WBA/WBO/Ring Magazine world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko, and his response was the same as usual, including the chosen slur he likes to assign Wladimir.

From RingTV.com:

"Klitschko's not going to fight me because he's too much of a pussy, and he's got no balls. If he did have a set of balls, then he would fight me. ... We're probably going to have to wait until about 2016 to get in position for a mandatory shot, and I think that by then, Klitschko will have fought Bermane Stiverne. He'll beat Stiverne, and will have gotten all of the belts, and then he'll retire. So that means all of the titles will be vacant, and then I'll have to fight for vacant title."

Fury (22-0, 16 KO) beat Chisora back in 2010, but all agree (including Fury and Chisora) that Chisora was not in good shape at all. Now, that's Chisora's own fault, but he's proven to be a better fighter than he was on that night when he's in proper condition. So while Fury deserves to be the favorite in July, it's hardly a foregone conclusion that he'll win.

I do think that if he does win, most people out there would like to see Fury face Klitschko (62-3, 52 KO). Not only is Tyson taller than Wladimir, but unlike other big guys out there like Alexander Ustinov, Mariusz Wach, etc., Fury does have some skills.

That said, Klitschko has his own actual tough test coming in September against Kubrat Pulev, so there's a lot here on both sides right now.

If they both do win their upcoming fights, is Klitschko-Fury the real fight to make at heavyweight?
