Chris Arreola takes on Bermane Stiverne tonight in part one of an HBO split site triple-header, with an eventual shot at the WBC heavyweight title on the line.
Bob Papa and Andre Ward will call the fight from California, with Steve Weisfeld getting a crack at the unofficial scorer's job, which it's assumed he will eventually take over full-time from Harold Lederman.
Fight Time: 8:30 pm EDT
TV: HBO
Venue: Citizens Business Bank Arena - Ontario, California
Undercard: Heavyweights Tony Grano and Eric Molina will fight a 10-round bout ... Welterweight prospect Oscar Molina, 23, fights for the fifth time since turning pro in January.
Arreola (35-2, 30 KO) hasn't fought since February 2012, while Stiverne hasn't fought since April 2012. This fight went to purse bid last fall, with Don King initially winning with a bogus, $1.1 million bid, which led to the fight sitting on the shelf for a while, until King predictably and officially defaulted on the bid, leaving it for second-place bidder Dan Goossen, Arreola's promoter.
BLH will have live coverage and results for Arreola-Stiverne tonight.
